Gene expression analysis in canine Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada/uveodermatologic syndrome and vitiligo

We performed a comparative immunology case study of client-owned dogs to determine if immune and skin gene expression profiles in spontaneous canine VKH and vitiligo mirror those observed in human autoimmune pigmentary diseases. Gene expression was analyzed using 160 custom Nanostring probes to analyze 2 canines with VKH and 1 canine with vitiligo compared to 5 healthy controls (leg margin excisions).

本研究针对家养犬只开展了比较免疫学病例研究，旨在明确自发性犬类伏格特-小柳-原田综合征（canine VKH）与犬类白癜风的免疫及皮肤基因表达谱，是否与人类自身免疫性色素性疾病中观察到的表达谱相一致。本研究采用160条定制化Nanostring探针开展基因表达分析，纳入2例VKHVKH综合征患犬、1例白癜风患犬，并以5例健康对照样本（腿部边缘切除组织）作为参照组。
