The Enviromental Protection Study 1995 (Organisation Members)

The Enviromental Protection Study 1995 was conducted in May 1995 on a representative sample of members of twelve of the most central environmental organisations in Norway, as well as on a sample of the Norwegian population. It is published as two separate surveys, one organisation part and one part that is representative for the entire population. Here, data from the organisational part is presented. The objective of the Enviromental Protection Study 1995 is to obtain a clearer image of the varieties that exists within the field of environmental protection. The survey deals mostly with environmental protection attitudes and behaviour. Central questions deal with attitudes towards science and technology, risk assessment and humans, animals and nature- and people's place in nature. What are the respondents' world view, what is their understanding of the problem, and how do their vision of the "good society" look like? How high is the level of knowledge regarding nature and environment and in what degree are the environmental problems perceived as solvable within the current political system? The survey is not just important for the gathering of knowledge about attitudes and values, it should also form the basis for statements concerning the shaping and functioning of policy within the area of environmental protection and give foundation for theory comparison and development. The survey is part of the project "Voluntary Organisation and Environmental Protection Politics" at the LOS center in Bergen. The LOS research on this field takes the environmental organisations (meso level) as a starting point, and analyses the environmental organisations' roles in relation to the political system (macro) as well as the organisation members' values and attitudes in relation to the rest of the population (micro). The Enviromental Protection Study 1995 contributes with a datamaterial that opens for analyses on several levels. The data material is collected on membership level in the organisations, but since there has been drawn indepedent samples within each organisation, one can also analyse the organisations separately. In addition, the different organisations are both comparable to eachother and to the overall population. Thus, a certain flexibility in the usage of data is allowed. The survey is unique, in the sense that there are no other national surveys of similar breadth, neither thematically nor in regards to subsamples.

1995年环境保护研究（Environmental Protection Study 1995）于1995年5月开展，调研对象涵盖挪威12家核心环保组织成员的代表性样本，以及挪威普通民众样本。
该研究以两项独立调研的形式发布，其一聚焦环保组织成员，其二代表挪威全体民众。本数据集呈现的为前者的调研数据。
1995年环境保护研究的核心目标，是清晰呈现环境保护领域内存在的多元形态与差异。
本调研主要围绕民众的环保态度与行为展开，核心议题涵盖对科学与技术的态度、风险评估、人类与动物及自然的关系，以及人类在自然中的定位。
调研旨在探究受访者的世界观、其对环境问题的认知，以及他们心目中“理想社会”的样貌。
同时调研受访者的自然与环境知识储备水平，以及在现行政治体系下，他们认为环境问题可被解决的程度。
本调研的价值不止于收集环保态度与价值观相关数据，更可为环境保护领域的政策制定与运行效果分析提供支撑，同时为理论对比与理论演进提供研究基础。
本调研是卑尔根市LOS中心开展的“志愿组织与环境保护政治”（Voluntary Organisation and Environmental Protection Politics）项目的组成部分。
LOS中心在该领域的研究以环保组织（中观层面）为切入点，分别分析环保组织在政治系统（宏观层面）中扮演的角色，以及组织成员相较于普通民众的价值观与态度差异（微观层面）。
1995年环境保护研究提供的数据集，支持多维度的分析视角。
本数据集以组织成员为调研单位收集而来，由于各组织内部均采用独立抽样设计，研究者也可针对单个环保组织开展独立分析。
此外，不同环保组织之间可进行横向对比，同时也可与挪威全体民众样本进行对比，因此该数据集具备灵活的应用场景。
本调研具备独特性——目前尚无其他全国性调研能在议题广度与子样本覆盖范围上与之媲美。
