PISCO: Intertidal: Mussel Growth Monitoring: UCSB: 2001

This metadata record documents the difference of growth rates of mussels within the study sites of PISCO intertidal and on moorings along the California coast. The transplanted mussels are placed with in the exposed mid zone of the study sites or at XX depth on moorings found within 1 km of the shore. In the intertidal, one set of mussels are deployed in April and left out for a year. Another set is placed for 3 month and correspond in dates and duration to the mooring set. The mussel are then collected and brought back into the lab to be processed.

本元数据记录详细记载了加州海岸沿线PISCO潮间带研究区域以及离岸锚泊设施上贻贝的生长速率差异。本次研究将移植贻贝放置于研究区域的暴露中潮带，或是离岸1公里范围内的锚泊设施的指定深度（XX）处。在潮间带区域，一组贻贝于4月投放并留置于野外一年；另一组投放时长为3个月，其投放时间与持续时长均与锚泊组实验方案保持一致。随后将所有贻贝采集带回实验室开展后续处理。
