Ant (Hymenoptera: Formicidae) pests of honey bee colonies in Cameroon

Global reports of ant-honey bee interactions show that the former threatens the latter’s existence and the sustainability of the beekeeping sector. However, little is known about existing ant species and their impact on managed honey bees, especially in Africa. This research identifies ant species and their interactions with managed honey bee colonies in Cameroon.

全球已有研究报道显示，蚂蚁与蜜蜂的相互作用会对蜜蜂的生存以及养蜂产业的可持续发展构成威胁。然而，目前学界对现有蚂蚁物种及其对人工饲养蜜蜂的影响仍知之甚少，这一情况在非洲地区尤为突出。本研究以喀麦隆为研究区域，鉴定了当地的蚂蚁物种，并明确了其与人工饲养蜜蜂蜂群的相互作用关系。
