Kapur (Dryobalanops aromatica or Dryobalanops sumatrensis), which commonly grow in sandy soils and surprisingly can also grow in peat swamp soils. Furthermore, the study aims to detect candidates of adaptive genes in D. aromatica, which is differentially growing in mineral soil and in peat swamp soil and expected to conform two ecotypes adapting in each environment.
