Gut Microbiome in Type 1 diabetes

Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease characterized by the destruction of pancreatic cells. Changes in faecal microbiota are associated with Type 1 diabetes. However, it is uncertain whether islet autoimmunity specific gut microbiome differences. We focused on the complex associations among the gut microbiome in T1D patients with immunophenotype.
