Black carp (Mylopharyngodon piceus, family Cyprinidae) is among the Four Domesticated Fishes in China, which has been cultured more than one thousand years and is characterized with its fast growth and delicious taste. The Black Carp, native to eastern Asia, is a large (>1.5 m long), commercially important fish. To date, previous studies on the black carp have mainly focused on the fields of artificial culture, nutrition and feed, and disease prevention and control . Although some findings on the black carp transcriptome analysis are contained , there is a lack of basic genomics research data.

青鱼（Mylopharyngodon piceus，鲤科Cyprinidae）是中国四大家鱼之一，拥有一千余年的人工养殖历史，以生长速度快、肉质鲜美为典型特征。该物种原产于东亚，是一种体型庞大（体长超过1.5米）且具有重要经济价值的鱼类。迄今，针对青鱼的既往研究主要集中在人工养殖、营养与饲料、疾病防控等领域。尽管已有部分关于青鱼转录组分析的研究成果，但目前仍缺乏基础基因组学研究相关数据。
