Evolution of DNA methylation in Neurospora species

This BioProject contains methylome and mRNA data related to the paper Hosseini, et al., “Selfish genetic elements versus the host genome: antagonistic coevolution drives the evolution of DNA methylation in Neurospora”.We generated high quality genome-wide DNA methylation and transcriptomics data from five closely related Neurospora species to study the evolution of methylation as a genome defense mechanism in Neurospora.本BioProject包含与Hosseini等人发表的论文《自私遗传元件与宿主基因组：拮抗共进化驱动脉孢菌属DNA甲基化的演化》相关的甲基化组（methylome）与mRNA数据。我们从5个近缘脉孢菌属物种中生成了高质量的全基因组DNA甲基化与转录组学（transcriptomics）数据，以探究甲基化作为基因组防御机制在脉孢菌属中的演化规律。
