Regional STEM Infrastructure and Youth Financial Risk in Kazakhstan, 2018–2024

This dataset supports the study: “Regional STEM Infrastructure and Youth Financial Risk: A Panel Analysis of the Regions of Kazakhstan.” It contains the estimation sample used for the baseline pooled OLS and linear mixed model: 119 region-year observations across 18 regional groups in Kazakhstan over 2018–2024. The dataset includes measures of regional STEM infrastructure, youth unemployment, income, rural population, consumer credit, and a reconstructed proxy of youth overdue consumer debt. The underlying indicators were compiled from publicly available official statistical sources described in the associated manuscript. Derived variables and the sample construction procedure are documented in the accompanying README file.
