This dataset contains both numerical simulation data and experimental data describing on three-dimensional diametrical compression tests of annular agglomerates with various bonding strength and internal holes modelled by the Discrete Element Method (DEM) . Detailed study is presented in a journal paper entitled 'Discrete Element Analysis of Diametrical Compression of Annular Agglomerates'. We provide all the essential data in a single excel file with the description below: Dataset 1- Fig. 4. Evolution of forces for both top and bottom platens with strain. Dataset 2-Fig. 5. Evolution of average mechanical coordination number with strain. Dataset 3-Fig. 7. Force-strain curves during diametrical compression with different surface energies (λ=0.3). Dataset 4-Fig. 8. The peak forces against the surface energy of annular specimens. Dataset 5-Fig. 9. Variation of the tensile strength with surface energy of the annular specimens. Dataset 6-Fig. 11. Force-strain curves with different ratios of internal diameter to the external diameter (γ=15 J/m2). Dataset 7- Fig.12. The peak force on platens against the ratio of internal diameter to the external diameter of annular specimens. Dataset 8-Fig. 13.
