This study examined the impact of melatonin on the physiological properties of vegetable soybean stored at ambient temperature. Integrated analysis of transcriptomic and metabolomic data enabled the construction of a gene-metabolite correlation network, revealing pivotal changes in genes and metabolites induced by melatonin. Our findings elucidate the regulatory role of melatonin in delaying senescence and improving the postharvest quality of vegetable soybean, offering valuable insights for future research.
