Terrestrial Laser Scanner TLS data capture Davis station and Vestfold Hills

Surveying at the Vestfold Hills for the Australian Antarctic Division's Davis Aerodrome Project (DAP) 5097 was carried out during the summer of 2019/20 by by LEUT Colin Davidson, LCPL Michael Raymont, LCPL Stuart Cox, and SPR Luke Carey of the Australian Defence Force. Survey equipment included a Trimble SX10 laser scanner, Trimble S6 Total Stations and DJI Mavic 2 Zoom Drone.Survey focused on undertaking a feature survey (SX10) of the proposed aerodrome footprint (Ridge Site), access road alignment (Adams Flat, Davis Link), and areas of supporting infrastructure (lighting towers, construction laydown areas etc.). Davis Station and the area of the proposed masterplan were also surveyed and are reported separately (SIP_survey_2019_20).The original TLS data captured from the Trimble SX10 Terrestrial laser scanner was supplied to the AAD in the Trimble proprietary file format of .rwcx, this was converted in February 2024 to .laz format. This format is open source and can be utilized by a much broader audience without requiring Trimble licenced software.This dataset contains no reports or information related to the capture or background of the data, that can be found in the parent metadata record - DAP_survey_2019_20

2019/2020年夏季，澳大利亚国防军的LEUT Colin Davidson、LCPL Michael Raymont、LCPL Stuart Cox及SPR Luke Carey为澳大利亚南极局（Australian Antarctic Division, AAD）戴维斯机场项目（Davis Aerodrome Project, DAP）5097号任务在韦斯特福尔德丘陵（Vestfold Hills）开展测量工作。本次使用的测量设备包括天宝（Trimble）SX10激光扫描仪、天宝S6全站仪以及大疆（DJI）Mavic 2 Zoom变焦无人机。本次测量重点为对拟建机场跑道区域（里奇场址，Ridge Site）、进场道路线路（亚当斯平地、戴维斯联络道，Adams Flat, Davis Link）及配套基础设施区域（照明塔、施工堆放区等）开展特征测绘（天宝SX10激光扫描）。戴维斯站（Davis Station）及拟建总体规划区域也已完成测量，相关内容将单独报告（SIP_survey_2019_20）。本次通过天宝SX10地面激光扫描仪（Terrestrial Laser Scanner, TLS）采集的原始数据以天宝专属的.rwcx文件格式提交给澳大利亚南极局，并于2024年2月被转换为.laz格式。该格式为开源格式，无需天宝授权软件即可供更广泛的用户群体使用。本数据集未包含与数据采集及背景相关的报告与信息，此类内容可在父元数据记录DAP_survey_2019_20中查阅。
