Endotrypanum monterogeii strain:ATCC 30507 Raw sequence reads

Trypanosomatids from the Endotrypanum-Porcisia clade are the closest phylogenetic relatives of Leishmania. This clade comprises parasites of sloths and porcupines, and surprisingly, sporadically human infections may be found related to Endotrypanum. We sequenced and analysed the genomes and transcriptomes of three representatives of the Endotrypanum-Porcisia clade, E. monterogeii, P. deanei and P. hertigi.

隶属于内锥虫属-豪猪锥虫属（Endotrypanum-Porcisia）演化支的锥虫类原生动物，是利什曼原虫属（Leishmania）亲缘关系最近的系统发育类群。该演化支的寄生宿主为树懒与豪猪，且令人意外的是，现已发现与内锥虫属（Endotrypanum）相关的散发性人体感染病例。本研究对该演化支的三个代表物种——蒙特罗戈伊内锥虫（E. monterogeii）、迪恩氏豪猪锥虫（P. deanei）以及赫氏豪猪锥虫（P. hertigi）——的基因组与转录组进行了测序与分析。
