Characterization of a chitin synthase from the diatom Thalassiosira pseudonana and its influence on cell cycle and photosynthesis

We compared our transgenic cell lines with wild type and empty vector transformant to find out the cell behaviors after the overexpression of specific gene (chitin synthase from Thalassiosira pseudonana) in Phaeodactylum tricornutum.
