The data contained in this file refer to the article: Changes in electric organ discharges associated with sexual maturity in a stream-dwelling Amazonian weakly electric fish.It includes the data of individual identification, body length (mm), reproductive stage (immature and mature), sex (9 females and 7 males) and 14 parameters of the discharge of the electric organ of a species of the genus Microsternarchus (Gymnotiformes).Electrical parameters: Mean_rate (mean pulse repetition rate in Hz); Sphase (silent phase), PS_ratio (ratio between pulse and silent phase duration); EOD_dur (total EOD duration in ms), Ph1_, Ph2_, Ph3_dur (1st, 2nd and 3rd phase duration in ms); Tot_EOD_area (total EOD area); and Ph1_, Ph2_, Ph3_area (1st, 2nd and 3rd phase area), PPF (peak power frequency), PolBal (polarity imbalance), PPrel (peak to peak relation).
