Scorpion Phylogenomics

Scorpions are ancient and historically renowned for their potent venom. Traditionally, the systematics of this group of animals was supported by morphology until recent phylogenomic analyses showed that most of the higher-level relationships were non-monophyletic. Here, we used transcriptomes and UCE datasets to reconstruct the phylogeny of scorpions (independently).

蝎子是一类古老且素来以强效毒液著称的动物类群。长期以来，该类群的分类学研究均以形态学证据作为支撑依据，直至近期的系统基因组学分析揭示，其多数高阶分类群间的亲缘关系均为非单系结构。本研究借助转录组与超保守元件（Ultraconserved Elements, UCE）数据集，独立重建了蝎子的系统发育树。
