Enhancing Strategic Heritage Bushland Connections East of Perth

This project will assist the restoration of a number of natural areas across the Kalamunda and Mundaring Shires that have been degraded by significant invasions of nationally significant weeds and other factors. The team will work with Councils and local community groups to ensure the recovery of these sites by undertaking activities to protect and enhance biodiversity values. This project will also add value to current and future community projects at all sites. Key activities undertaken will include weed mapping and treatment, habitat monitoring and creation (including fauna monitoring, building and installing nest boxes with a contractor), revegetation and improving public access ways and community education.

本项目将助力修复卡拉芒达郡（Kalamunda Shire）与芒达林郡（Mundaring Shire）内的多处自然区域，这些区域因具有全国重要性的入侵杂草的大规模入侵及其他因素而严重退化。项目团队将协同地方议会与本地社区团体，通过开展保护并提升生物多样性价值的相关活动，保障上述场地的生态恢复。本项目亦将为所有场地当前及未来的社区项目赋能增值。核心实施活动包括：入侵杂草分布测绘与防除、栖息地监测与营建（含联合承包商开展野生动物监测、搭建及安装动物巢箱）、植被恢复，以及优化公共通行路径与开展社区生态科普教育。
