Korean national election study 1988

This survey was carried out in connection with the Korean National Assembly election on April 26. The respondents were asked about political interest, opinion on drastical changes in Korean politics, most serious problems in Korea, knowledge of candidates running for the National Assembly, candidate preferred and reason for prefering this candidate, source of information on politics and election campaign, most important campaign issue and party benefited from this issue, evaluation of present government and reason for this assessment, evaluation of president Roh Tae Woo, party liked most and second best party, and party voted for in the 1985 election. Background variables include information on gender, age, occupation, religion, place of residence, grandfathers hometown, education, and monthly income. There are also a number of questions concerning economic daily newspapers.本调查系为配合4月26日韩国国会选举而开展。受访对象需回答以下问题：政治关注度、对韩国政坛剧烈变革的看法、韩国当前最严峻的问题、对国会参选候选人的认知程度、偏好的候选人及其偏好理由、政治与竞选活动的信息来源、最核心的竞选议题及受该议题助力的政党、对现任政府的评价及评价依据、对卢泰愚总统的评价、最青睐的政党与次优政党，以及1985年国会选举的投票政党。调查的背景变量涵盖性别、年龄、职业、宗教信仰、居住地、祖父的祖籍、受教育程度及月收入水平。此外还设置了若干关于经济类日报的调研问题。
