Interleukin-27 Protects from Atrophy and Metaplasia During Chronic Gastritis

This study defined the role of the immune cytokine IL-27 in the progression of chronic gastritis to preneoplastic lesions such as atrophy and metaplasia. It determined that IL-27 is protective during gastritis by acting on CD4+ T cells to decrease inflammatory gene expression.

本研究明确了免疫细胞因子白细胞介素27（IL-27）在慢性胃炎进展为萎缩、化生等癌前病变过程中的作用。研究证实，IL-27可通过作用于CD4阳性T细胞，降低炎症基因的表达水平，从而在慢性胃炎进程中发挥保护作用。
