Supporting data for <b>The relationship between musical training and reading comprehension in children with Autism Spectrum Disorder</b>

The present study examined the reading comprehension performance of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and compared it with that of their typically developing counterparts to identify the possible variables that may relate to their reading comprehension performance. A series of six tests namely tone identification test, Embedded Figures Test (EFT), homograph reading test, homophone test, music test and reading test were conducted with native Cantonese ASD participants with and without musical training and their corresponding TD groups. The results were recorded in the file.本研究考察了自闭症谱系障碍（Autism Spectrum Disorder, ASD）儿童的阅读理解表现，并将其与典型发育（typically developing, TD）对照群体的表现进行对比，旨在识别可能与其阅读理解表现相关的潜在变量。研究针对以粤语为母语、分别接受与未接受音乐训练的自闭症谱系障碍参与者，以及与之对应的典型发育组群体，开展了六项测试，分别为音调识别测试、镶嵌图形测试（Embedded Figures Test, EFT）、同形异义词阅读测试、同音异形词测试、音乐测试与阅读理解测试。相关测试结果已记录于本文件中。
