Pheno Forecast maps predict key life cycle stages in a range of species
to improve conservation and management outcomes. For insect pest
species, Pheno Forecasts are based on published growing degree day (GDD)
thresholds for key points in species life cycles. These key points
typically represent life cycle stages when management actions are most
effective. These maps are updated daily and available 6 days in the
future. We forecast caterpillar emergence in spongy moth (<i>Lymantria
dispar</i>) at 571F growing degree days (base 37.5F, upper threshold 104F,
start date: January 1, double sine GDD method). Forecasts are available for the current and prior year in the USA-NPN Visualization Tool (https://www.usanpn.org/data/visualizations) and 2016-present through USA-NPN Geo Web Services (available upon request). Spongy moth egg masses hatch in late spring and the caterpillars feed
extensively on many types of trees. Certain control measures are most

我们针对舞毒蛾(*Lymantria dispar*)的幼虫孵出情况进行预报,阈值设定为571华氏度生长度日(基准温度37.5华氏度,上限温度104华氏度,起始日期为1月1日,采用双正弦生长度日计算法)。
用户可通过美国国家物候网(USA-NPN)可视化工具(https://www.usanpn.org/data/visualizations)查询当年及上一年的预报数据;2016年至今的预报数据则可通过USA-NPN地理网络服务获取(需申请)。
舞毒蛾的卵块于晚春时节孵化,幼虫会大量取食多种树木的叶片。部分防治措施在幼虫刚从卵块孵化出来时实施,可达到最佳防控效果。
