The response of Prochlorococcus MED4 to nitrogen starvation was observed. Gene expression was measured at three separate time points during the experiment through Illumina sequencing. In addition, Illumina sequencing allowed us to monitor structural changes Prochlorococcus underwent in response to nitrogen starvation.

本研究观测了原绿球藻MED4（Prochlorococcus MED4）在氮饥饿胁迫下的应答反应。实验期间，我们通过Illumina测序技术在三个独立的时间点对其基因表达水平进行了测定。此外，借助Illumina测序技术，我们还可监测原绿球藻在响应氮饥饿胁迫过程中发生的结构变化。
