Population Genomics of Native Americans from Andes and Amazon

Using genome-wide information of Native Americans from Andes and Amazon we addressed questions about : the Andes-Amazon dichotomy, the Andean homogenization and how cultural and socioeconomic interactions revealed by archaeology were accompanied by gene flow, specifically in northern Peru. 本研究利用安第斯（Andes）与亚马孙（Amazon）地区美洲原住民的全基因组信息，围绕以下科学问题展开探究：安第斯-亚马孙人群二分性、安第斯人群遗传均质化，以及考古学所揭示的文化与社会经济互动如何与基因流（gene flow）相伴发生，且该现象在秘鲁北部地区尤为显著。此外，依托该种群历史，本研究还解析了高海拔干旱安第斯区域与低海拔亚马孙热带森林间的正向自然选择（positive natural selection）案例。本研究隶属于EGA研究EGAS00001004639。
