We sequenced the mRNA of 18 chrysophyte strains on the Illumina HiSeq platform and constructed functionally annotated reference transcriptomes of each strain. These transcriptomes were used to compare and analyse differences in gene expression and determined the influence of the trophic mode, phototrophic, mixotrophic and heterotrophic, on gene expression and shifts in metabolic pathways.

本研究依托Illumina HiSeq高通量测序平台,对18株金藻菌株的信使RNA(mRNA)进行测序,并为每株菌株构建了经功能注释的参考转录组(transcriptome)。基于上述转录组数据,本研究对比分析了不同菌株间的基因表达差异,明确了营养模式(trophic mode),即自养型(phototrophic)、混合营养型(mixotrophic)与异养型(heterotrophic),对基因表达及代谢通路(metabolic pathways)变化的影响。
