The start of the growing season (SOS) in Alaska from 2000–2019

The start of the growing season (SOS) is derived from the MODIS Terra Vegetation Indices 16-Day L3 Global 1 km SIN Grid data (MOD13A2.V006). The data coverage includes Alaska and part of Canada Yukon from 55°N to 72°N for the years between 2000 and 2019. The algorithm takes 16-day composite NDVI data, performs data stacking, smoothing, and then calculates the SOS metrics.

生长季起始期（Start of the Growing Season, SOS）由中分辨率成像光谱仪（Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer, MODIS）Terra卫星16天合成L3级全球1千米正弦网格植被指数数据（MOD13A2.V006）推导得到。该数据集的时间跨度为2000年至2019年，覆盖北纬55°至72°区间内的阿拉斯加地区以及加拿大育空地区的部分区域。其算法流程为：以16天合成的归一化差分植被指数（Normalized Difference Vegetation Index, NDVI）数据为输入，依次完成数据堆叠与平滑处理，随后计算得到SOS指标。
