<b>Description:</b><br>The following dataset illustrates the abundance of white flowering plant species in a 25m range, located at York University Grasslands.<br><b>Methods:</b><br>A transect was used to collect the data within the grassland. The 25m transect was placed in a straight line along a random patch of land in the area. One person was responsible for walking along the transect and identify the target plant species. Every time the target plant species would fall along the transect line, the distance from the transect to that plant was measured (in memters) and recorded. <br><b>Metadata:</b><br>The data was collected on York University Grasslands on September 20th, 2016. The weather appeared to be sunny with light clouds and no wind disturbance.<br><b>Target plant: </b>The type of plants that were observed were small, white flowering plants. <b>Distance of transect:</b> A 25m transect was set in a line along a random patch of land on the grassland. Once a target species fell on the transect line, it's distance from the base of the line (0 m) to the target species are measured. <b>Distance off transect line:</b> Although most plant species appeared to fall on the 25m transect line, some plants were seen to be a few centimeters away (maximum 5cm) from the original tansect line.
