GAPP: DOE ARM SGP Soil Water and Temperature System (SWATS) Data. Version 1.0

This data set contains hourly resolution soil temperature and moisture data at 5, 15, 25, 35, 60, 85, 125, 175 cm depths from the Department of Energy (DOE) Atmospheric Radiation Measurement (ARM) Southern Great Plains (SGP) Soil Water and Temperature System (SWATS). These SWATS stations are located at many of the ARM SGP Extended Facilities in southern Kansas and northern Oklahoma. This data set covers the period from 1 February 1996 through present. These data are in monthly zip files (with an average size of 6 Mb each) containing netCDF files. UCAR/JOSS has not done any additional processing or quality control on these data.
