Nature-based activities improve human-nature connectedness: A systematic review and meta-analysis

This repository contains three files associated with our paper, "<i>Nature-based activities improve human-nature connectedness: A systematic review and meta-analysis</i>", published in <i>Perspectives in Ecology and Conservation</i>:1) NatureConnection.rThis R script features the code used to carry out the data analysis and create the R figures described in our paper. It uses the data in the accompanying file "NatureConnectionData.csv".<br>2) NatureConnectionData.csvThis csv file contains the data that was associated with the R code found in file #1 ("NatureConnection.r"). Columns A:B contain the data on the numbers of studies per country, which were used to create the map of global study effort. More information on the data contained in this file is given within the paper. Columns C:J contain the data used in the analysis of the changes in nature connectedness, whilst columns K:N contain citation information for each of the studies included in our meta-analysis.<br>3) Article screening.xlsxThis Microsoft Excel spreadsheet contains four sheets, which show the results of the article screening process at each stage of the process: (i) title only; (ii) abstract only; (iii) full text; (iv) data extraction. The first column (A; title "Included?") of each sheet indicates whether each paper was included (marked "Y") or excluded (marked "N"). The remainder of the columns in each sheet provide bibliographic information on each paper, including the authors, title, publication year, and journal name.<br>

1) NatureConnection.r：该R脚本包含了本论文中用于开展数据分析与绘制R语言图形的代码，其运行依赖于配套文件"NatureConnectionData.csv"中的数据集。
2) NatureConnectionData.csv：该CSV格式文件存储了与上述1号文件（NatureConnection.r）中R代码配套的数据集。其中A至B列收录了各国纳入研究的数量数据，用于绘制全球研究投入地图；论文中对本文件包含的数据集有更详细的说明。C至J列为用于分析自然联结感变化的相关数据，K至N列则为本元分析纳入的每项研究的参考文献信息。
3) Article screening.xlsx：该Microsoft Excel电子表格包含四个工作表，分别展示了文献筛选各阶段的结果：(i)仅标题阶段；(ii)仅摘要阶段；(iii)全文阶段；(iv)数据提取阶段。每个工作表的首列（A列，标题为"Included?"）标注了每篇文献是否被纳入（标记为"Y"）或排除（标记为"N"），其余列则提供了每篇文献的书目信息，包括作者、论文标题、发表年份与期刊名称。
