Metagenomes of alpine soils

Using whole-metagenome shotgun sequencing and isolation approach, we investigated hydrocarbon-degrading potential of microbial communities from Alpine soil environments. The aim was to obtain indigenous, psychrotolerant hydrocarbon-degrading strains capable of metabolizing both n-alkanes and aromatic compounds for future application in cold environments.

本研究采用全宏基因组鸟枪法测序（whole-metagenome shotgun sequencing）与分离培养手段，对高山土壤环境中微生物群落的烃类降解潜力展开探究。本研究的目标是获取能够代谢正构烷烃与芳香族化合物的土著耐冷烃类降解菌株，以期将其应用于未来寒冷环境的相关场景。
