Transcriptome of P. aeruginosa ∆pilY1

PilY1 is a component of the type IV pili, an important virulence factor for P. aeruginosa. PilY1 has demonstrated signaling function and we wanteed to define the signal transduction pathways tht PilY1 controls. We found that PilY1 controls both cAMP and c-di-GMP. We determined the mechanism for how Pily1 influences cAMP production in P. aeruginosa. Three biological replicates were doen for each strain.

PilY1是IV型菌毛（type IV pili）的组成成分，IV型菌毛是铜绿假单胞菌（P. aeruginosa）的重要毒力因子。PilY1已被证实具有信号传导功能，本研究旨在明确PilY1所调控的信号转导通路。研究发现，PilY1可同时调控环磷酸腺苷（cAMP）与环二鸟苷单磷酸（c-di-GMP）的代谢过程；我们还阐明了PilY1影响铜绿假单胞菌中环磷酸腺苷生成的具体分子机制。所有菌株实验均设置三次生物学重复。
