Fecal microbiome samples (16S rRNA gene, v4) collected from urban and forest eastern grey squirrels (Sciurus carolinensis) throughout southern Ontario for the purposes of 1) testing for microbiome convergence based upon environment, 2) identify the relevant spatial scale at which habitat heterogeneity acts on the microbiome, and 3) test for differences between coat colour phenotypes
