Clubroot disease in Brassicaceae is caused by Plasmodiophora brassicae Woronin. Plant growth and development are severely affected due to this disease. In this study, we have developed transcriptome information from B. napus root tissues that were uninoculated and inoculated with the pathogen. Tissues were collected at 1-, 4-, and 7 days post-inoculation (DPI). Two genotypes, clubroot resistant (CR) and susceptible (CS), doubled-haploid (DH) oilseed B. napus were used for this study. The goal of this study is to identify clubroot resistance-related genes and develop gene-specific markers to assist in breeding for clubroot resistance in Canola.

十字花科(Brassicaceae)植物的根肿病由芸苔根肿菌(Plasmodiophora brassicae Woronin)引发。该病害会严重抑制植物的生长与发育。本研究针对接种与未接种病原菌的甘蓝型油菜(Brassica napus,简称B. napus)根组织开展转录组分析,获取了转录组数据。组织样本的采集时间为接种后1、4、7天(days post-inoculation,简称DPI)。本研究采用了两个基因型的双单倍体(doubled-haploid,简称DH)甘蓝型油菜种质:抗根肿病材料(clubroot resistant,简称CR)与感根肿病材料(susceptible,简称CS)。本研究的核心目标为筛选根肿病抗性相关基因,并开发基因特异性分子标记,以辅助油菜(Canola)的根肿病抗性育种工作。
