Biosphere Reserves Germany

Biosphere reserves (§ 25 BNatSchG) serve the large-scale protection of natural and cultural landscapes. The main objectives are the preservation, development or restoration of a landscape characterised by its diverse uses and the diversity of species and biotopes that have grown historically. They will also serve as an example for the development and testing of sustainable economic practices in all sectors of the economy. The harmonised data set of biosphere reserves was merged by the Federal Office for Nature Conservation from data from the federal states. An update is made annually. Since the data come from different sources and are based on different measurement standards, deviations are possible in a position and also up-to-date. The MAB (Man and Biosphere) dataset can be created by filtering the MAB attribute from the Biosphere Reserves dataset.生物圈保护区（Biosphere Reserves，§25 BNatSchG）旨在对自然与文化景观开展大规模保护。其核心宗旨为保护、开发或修复兼具多元利用特征，且经历史演化形成丰富物种与多样生境的景观。同时，此类保护区还可为各经济领域可持续经济实践的研发与测试提供示范范例。 生物圈保护区统一数据集由联邦自然保护局（Federal Office for Nature Conservation）整合各州提交的相关数据而成，每年更新一次。由于该数据集源自多源数据且基于不同测量标准，因此在空间位置乃至时效性层面均可能存在偏差。 MAB（Man and Biosphere，人与生物圈）数据集可通过从生物圈保护区数据集中筛选MAB属性字段生成。
