The goal of this study is to assemble and annotate the genome of a common European wildflower commonly called the cowslip (Primula veris). Primula species have long been a focus of classical and molecular genetic research on floral polymorphisms, plant mating system evolution, and the maintenance of interspecific reproductive barriers. In this study we apply a variety of next-generation sequencing approaches to assemble and annotate a relatively complete draft genome for this non-model organism.本研究旨在组装并注释一种常见欧洲野生花卉的基因组，该花卉俗称牛舌樱草（cowslip），学名为*Primula veris*。报春花属（Primula）植物长期以来一直是经典遗传学与分子遗传学研究的热点对象，研究方向涵盖花型多态性、植物交配系统演化以及种间生殖屏障的维持机制。本研究采用多种下一代测序（next-generation sequencing）技术手段，为该非模式生物组装并注释出一份相对完整的基因组草图。
