The global prevalence of nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) increases incredibly. NASH ends up to advanced liver disease, which is highly threatening to human health. Currently, treatment of NASH is very limited. Acetyl-CoA carboxylases (ACC1/ACC2) are proved as effective drug targets for NASH. As known, alterations of gut microbiota were closely intertangled with the progression of NASH but effects of ACC inhibitor on gut microbiota is still unknown. We treated mice with WZ66 and collect content from cecum after sacrifice, then, 16S rRNA gene sequencing analysis was performed to assess the influences of WZ66 on gut microbiota.
非酒精性脂肪性肝炎(nonalcoholic steatohepatitis, NASH)的全球患病率显著攀升。该疾病可进展为晚期肝病,对人类健康构成严重威胁。目前,非酒精性脂肪性肝炎的治疗手段极为有限。乙酰辅酶A羧化酶(Acetyl-CoA carboxylases, ACC1/ACC2)已被证实是治疗非酒精性脂肪性肝炎的有效药物靶点。已有研究证实,肠道菌群改变与非酒精性脂肪性肝炎的进展密切相关,但ACC抑制剂对肠道菌群的影响仍尚不明确。本研究使用WZ66处理小鼠,处死后采集其盲肠内容物,随后通过16S rRNA基因测序分析,评估WZ66对肠道菌群的影响。
