Transition metal complexes of the ligand 2,2′-bipyridine-4,4′-diamine
(bpy4da) form three-dimensional (3D) hydrogen bonding networks with
the [M(bpy4da)3]2+ species, a hydrogen donor
metallo-tecton with carboxylate counteranions as hydrogen bond acceptors
within the complexes [[Ni(bpy4da)3]·(Hbpc)(bpc)0.5(dmf)n, [Ni(bpy4da)3].(bpc)(dmf)n, and [Ni(bpy4da)3]·(Htma)·4(dmf) where H2bpc = biphenyl-4,4′-dicarboxylic
acid, H3tma = trimesic acid, and dmf = dimethylformamide.
Terephthalate, on the other hand, bridges between Cu(II) centers in
complexes [Cu2(bpy4da)4(tpa)]·2(NO3)·5(dmf) and [Cu2(bpy4da)4(tpa)]·2(NO3)·4.5(dmf)·(H2O) (where H2tpa = terephthalic acid) whose structures both feature different
3D hydrogen bonded networks. The crystal structures of hydrated [Cd(bpy4da)3]·2Cl and [Co(bpy4da)2(NO3)]2·2(NO3)·4.5(dmf) are also reported.
配体2,2′-联吡啶-4,4′-二胺(2,2′-bipyridine-4,4′-diamine,缩写bpy4da)的过渡金属配合物,可与[M(bpy4da)3]²+物种构建三维(3D)氢键网络。其中[M(bpy4da)3]²+为氢给体型金属构筑单元(metallo-tecton),配合物内部以羧酸根反离子作为氢键受体,涉及的配合物包括[Ni(bpy4da)3]·(Hbpc)·(bpc)0.5(dmf)n、[Ni(bpy4da)3]·(bpc)·(dmf)n以及[Ni(bpy4da)3]·(Htma)·4(dmf),其中H2bpc为联苯-4,4′-二羧酸,H3tma为均苯三甲酸,dmf为N,N-二甲基甲酰胺(dimethylformamide)。
对苯二甲酸根(terephthalate)则作为桥联配体,连接配合物[Cu2(bpy4da)4(tpa)]·2(NO3)·5(dmf)与[Cu2(bpy4da)4(tpa)]·2(NO3)·4.5(dmf)·(H2O)中的Cu(II)中心;上述两种配合物的结构均具有不同的三维氢键网络,其中H2tpa为对苯二甲酸。
本研究同时报道了水合[Cd(bpy4da)3]·2Cl与[Co(bpy4da)2(NO3)]2·2(NO3)·4.5(dmf)的晶体结构。
