This data publication contains the gridded historical (1951-2000) climate data for the conterminous United States that were used in the Terrestrial Climate Stress Index (TCSI), as part of the 2020 Resources Planning Act Assessment. Data include two georeferenced TIF files containing stacked raster files with a 4 kilometer resolution grid of 1) mean annual temperatures (degrees Celsius) and 2) total annual precipitation (millimeters). This package also includes the tabular version of these data that includes the temperature and precipitation values for each raster grid cell.
These data were used to explore the impact of climate and vegetation change on wildlife habitat for the 2020 RPA Assessment.
