This BioProject investigates the clinical effects and microbiome-modulating potential of washed microbiota transplantation (WMT) in patients with moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis (AD). A total of 23 AD patients were enrolled and treated with WMT. Fecal and skin samples were collected before and after treatment to assess changes in microbial composition and diversity. The 16S rRNA gene sequencing was used to analyze the gut and skin microbiota. The aim of this study is to evaluate the gut-skin microbial axis in AD and to explore the potential therapeutic value of WMT in restoring microbiome balance and improving clinical symptoms.
