We investigated the interactive effects of agricultural management (conventional vs. organic) and plant selection on microbial community structure and N-cycling functional gene abundance in a maize-tomato rotation. A better understanding of how roots moderate the effects of organic/inorganic N fertilization on bulk soil microbial communities and functions can contribute to the design of sustainable agroecosystems that optimize yields through biologically based nutrient cycling processes.

本研究以玉米-番茄轮作系统为研究对象,探究了农业管理模式(常规种植vs有机种植)与植物筛选对微生物群落结构及氮循环功能基因丰度的交互影响。深入解析根系如何调控有机/无机氮肥对原状土壤(bulk soil)微生物群落及其功能的作用,可为构建依托生物源性养分循环过程实现产量优化的可持续农业生态系统提供理论依据。
