Ischemic stroke (IS) remains a devastating cardiovascular disease with high mortality rates and limited treatment options. Current therapeutic approaches face significant challenges in reducing brain injury and promoting neuronal repair post-stroke. While endovascular thrombectomy has shown promise, its narrow treatment window and potential reperfusion injury underscore the urgent need for alternative therapeutic strategies. In this study, we investigate the therapeutic potential of PAS840, an extract from Periplaneta americana (L.), in treating ischemic stroke by examining its components, predicting its targets, and validating its effects on key pathological processes involved in stroke progression.
缺血性脑卒中(Ischemic stroke, IS)仍是一种致死率高、治疗手段有限的毁灭性心血管疾病。当前的治疗策略在卒中后减轻脑损伤、促进神经元修复方面面临重大挑战。尽管血管内血栓切除术已展现出临床应用前景,但其狭窄的治疗时间窗及潜在的再灌注损伤问题,凸显了开发替代治疗策略的迫切需求。本研究以美洲大蠊(Periplaneta americana (L.))提取物PAS840为研究对象,通过解析其活性成分、预测作用靶点,并验证其对卒中进展相关关键病理过程的作用效应,探讨其治疗缺血性脑卒中的潜力。
