Diffusive versus directed movement.

Properties of two classes of journey as distinguished both by lengths either side of 1.3 km, and by relationships between flux fields and journey lengths, orientations, and numbers. The strongest relationships with flux fields are indicated in each case, either as divergence alone (), or total flux (). All relationships are positive, except the negative relationship between lengths of directed trips and (see Table 2). Correlations with numbers of Tube passengers are also shown.
