Variable susceptibility pattern of Striga hermonthica populations from East and West Africa, to Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. strigae (Fos) isolates, Foxy-2 and FK3. Study employed Striga phenotyping, genotyping with 22 SSR markers, DNA sequencing, and computational phylogenetics. Study revealed that genomic variation in Striga explained the variable susceptibility pattern of Foxy-2 and FK3, rather than sampling zones of the Striga东非与西非的月形独脚金（Striga hermonthica）种群对尖孢镰刀菌独脚金专化型（Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. strigae，Fos）的菌株Foxy-2与FK3的感病模式存在差异。本研究采用了独脚金表型分型、基于22个简单序列重复（Simple Sequence Repeat，SSR）标记的基因分型、DNA测序以及计算系统发育学分析手段。研究结果表明，独脚金的基因组变异是造成其对Foxy-2和FK3菌株产生差异化感病模式的原因，而非独脚金的采样区域。
