First report of novel bocaparvovirus in Tufted Deer (Elaphodus cephalophus)

In this study, we used viral metagenomics to identify Bocaparvovirus (tentatively named Tufted Deer BOV, ECBOV) in the feces of Tufted Deer for the first time, which not only expanded the host range of Bocaparvovirus, but also provided a basis for prevention and control of the virus in the region.

本研究首次通过病毒宏基因组学（viral metagenomics）技术，在毛冠鹿粪便中鉴定出博卡病毒（Bocaparvovirus），暂定命名为毛冠鹿博卡病毒（Tufted Deer BOV，ECBOV）。本研究不仅拓展了博卡病毒的宿主范围，同时也为该区域内该病毒的防控工作提供了理论基础。
