The introduction of electromagnetic patch material brings a new idea for the research of absorber. Using electromagnetic loss of absorbing material is an important method to realize broadband absorption. The impedance gradient theory is often used in the design of absorber. In this paper, the gradual gradient absorber structure is constructed by pasting and fixing the conical electromagnetic patch on the 3D printed resin scaffold, so as to improve the shortcomings of the traditional coated absorber material, which is narrow in frequency band and easy to fall off, and realize the broadband absorption. To further validate the design method, the absorber samples were processed and tested. The designed absorber has a relative bandwidth of 143% in the operating range of 3 GHz~18 GHz, a thickness of 0.4λL at the lowest frequency, and a stable absorption performance in the oblique incidence range of 45°.
