本数据是2008年各地区退耕还林工程建设情况。统计了全国（除台湾、香港、澳门）31个省市自治区和内蒙古集团、吉林集团、龙江集团、新疆兵团的人工造林面积、当年种草面积、年末实有封山沙育林面积、补助粮款兑现、林业投资完成额。全国合计中包括军事管理区80000公顷荒山荒地造林。

This dataset documents the construction status of the Grain for Green Project in various regions of China in 2008. It compiles statistical data for 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government (excluding Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao), as well as Inner Mongolia Group, Jilin Group, Longjiang Group and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, covering indicators such as the area of artificial afforestation, annual grass planting area, area of enclosed mountain and sandy land afforestation at the end of the year, disbursement of subsidized grain and monetary subsidies, and completed forestry investment. The national total includes 80,000 hectares of barren hill and wasteland afforestation conducted in military administrative zones.
