Systematic analysis of the lysine succinylome in the model medicinal mushroom Ganoderma lucidum

Ganoderma lucidum, one of the best-known medicinal mushrooms in the world, produces more than 400 different bioactive compounds. By the combination of affinity enrichment and high-resolution LC-MS/MS analysis, large-scale lysine succinylome analysis was performed. Altogether, 742 lysine succinylation sites in 382 protein groups were identified. Bioinformatics analysis revealed that the modified proteins were involved in multiple cellular functions and participated in a wide variety of biological processes such as carbon metabolism and biosynthesis of secondary metabolites.

灵芝(Ganoderma lucidum)作为全球最广为人知的药用真菌之一,可产生400余种不同的生物活性化合物。本研究通过亲和富集结合高分辨液相色谱-串联质谱(LC-MS/MS)分析,开展了大规模的赖氨酸琥珀酰化修饰组学(lysine succinylome)分析。最终共在382个蛋白质组群中鉴定到742个赖氨酸琥珀酰化修饰位点。生物信息学分析结果显示,这些经修饰的蛋白质参与多种细胞功能,并广泛参与诸多生物学过程,例如碳代谢与次生代谢产物的生物合成。
