Bowman and BW-NIL-tst2.b were grown in a phytochamber condition (light/dark: 12h/12h; day/night temperature: 12?/8?) in a 24-well plate. Spike samples at awn primordium (W4.5), white anther (W5.5) and green anther (GrA) stages were collected under a light microscope. Each spike was divided into three sections: apical (spikelet1-10) + central (spikelet15-20) + basal (spikelet25-30). Anthers from top three spikelets at W8 and W9 of Bowman and BW-NIL-tst2.b were collected. All sample collections were conducted between 11:00am – 14:00pm within a day.

将Bowman及BW-NIL-tst2.b材料种植于24孔板中,培养条件设置为植物生长箱(phytochamber)环境:光暗周期12h/12h,昼夜温度为12℃/8℃。借助光学显微镜采集处于芒原基(W4.5)、花药发白(W5.5)及花药变绿(GrA)发育阶段的穗部样本。每穗被划分为顶端(小穗1-10)、中部(小穗15-20)及基部(小穗25-30)三个区段。另采集Bowman与BW-NIL-tst2.b材料在W8、W9发育时期顶部3个小穗的花药。所有样本采集均于当日11:00至14:00时段内完成。
