Microbial DNA extraction and PCR from core samples SSK105556 and SSK105560 from UKGEOS Glasgow Observatory, borehole GGC01

Microbial DNA concentrations from DNA extraction using Qiagen PowerSoil Pro DNA Extraction kit and subsequent Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) from core samples collected and preserved for microbiology (SSK105556 and SSK105560) from UKGEOS Glasgow Observatory, borehole GGC01. DNA extractions and subsequent amplification using PCR indicate levels of microbial DNA below detection limits. NERC grant SHAPE-UK NE/R018006/1.

本数据集涵盖英国GEOS格拉斯哥观测台（UKGEOS Glasgow Observatory）钻孔GGC01采集并保存用于微生物学研究的岩心样本（编号SSK105556与SSK105560）的微生物DNA浓度数据，实验采用凯杰（Qiagen）PowerSoil Pro DNA提取试剂盒完成DNA提取，后续通过聚合酶链式反应（Polymerase Chain Reaction，PCR）进行扩增检测。经DNA提取及后续PCR扩增实验，结果显示所有样本的微生物DNA浓度均低于检测限。本研究受英国自然环境研究委员会（Natural Environment Research Council，NERC）资助项目SHAPE-UK NE/R018006/1支持。
