WPS3127 - Small and Medium Enterprises: Overcoming Growth Constraints

As part of overall research effort investigating the link between growth, poverty reduction and the small and medium enterprise sector, a large dataset covering a large number of countries was developed, and used to investigate the question what determines firm size, since understanding these determinants is key in formulating policies to develop the SME sector.

作为探究经济增长、减贫与中小企业（Small and Medium Enterprise, SME）部门之间内在关联的整体研究计划的组成部分，本研究构建了一份覆盖大量国家的大型数据集，并依托该数据集探究企业规模的决定因素；而明晰此类决定因素，正是制定中小企业部门发展政策的核心要义。
