ALOS Palsar 1.5 Radar Processing System

Americas ALOS Data Node (AADN) With the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency's (JAXA's) launch of the Advanced Land Observation Satellite (ALOS) in January 2006, a new era of L band synthetic aperture radar (SAR) began. The Alaska Satellite Facility (AF) operates the Americans ALOS Data Node under a joint project agreement with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) downlinking, processing, distributing, and archiving ALOS data. As the AADN, ASF has partnered with many organizations to ensure the widest, most-effective distribution of these data. In November of 2009, Advanced Land Observing Satellite (ALOS) Phased Array L-band Synthetic Aperture Radar (PALSAR) data became available to select users at the U.S. Geological Survey Earth (USGS), Resources Observation and Science (EROS) Center. ALTOS PALSAR 1.5 is the product of Multi-look amplitude generated after rending SAR processing to level 1.0 product, acquired in single polarization high resolution mode. The data are equally spaced on ground range.

美洲ALOS数据节点（Americas ALOS Data Node，AADN）：日本宇宙航空研究开发机构（Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency，JAXA）于2006年1月发射先进陆地观测卫星（Advanced Land Observation Satellite，ALOS），标志着L波段合成孔径雷达（L band synthetic aperture radar，SAR）技术迈入全新发展阶段。阿拉斯加卫星设施（Alaska Satellite Facility，ASF）依托与美国国家海洋和大气管理局（National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration，NOAA）达成的联合项目协议，负责运营美洲ALOS数据节点，开展ALOS数据的下传、处理、分发与归档工作。作为该节点的运营方，ASF已与众多机构展开合作，以保障这些数据能够实现最广泛、高效的分发覆盖。2009年11月，先进陆地观测卫星相控阵L波段合成孔径雷达（Phased Array L-band Synthetic Aperture Radar，PALSAR）数据正式面向美国地质调查局（U.S. Geological Survey，USGS）地球资源观测与科学（EROS）中心的特定用户开放获取。ALTOS PALSAR 1.5产品为单极化高分辨率模式下获取的SAR数据经SAR处理生成1.0级产品后得到的多视振幅产物，该数据在地面距离向上呈等间距分布。
